Boo’d Up for the Holidays!
The temptation is rising….
Cuffing season is upon us, and the thirst is real…even for the saints!
Getting with someone for the sake of being held by a warm fire, to hold hands while walking in the snow, to kiss them under the mistletoe….is not worth it. Don’t do it!
You have their number. They are hoping you call.
They are in your DMs. They won’t let up.
More opportunities to Netflix and chill keeps presenting itself .
They know you are single. You may even be married….they don’t care. They know you are susceptible to the cuffing season flu, and they want to infect you. You want to be desired, and they are here for it!
You’re tempted. They suddenly seem more attractive. Don’t budge! Your vision has been impaired by the onset of the cuffing season bug.
Stay strong saints! Don’t become infected with the cuffing season flu!
Let’s turn that BAE energy toward our relationship with the Lord. I am not trying to be extra spiritual, but truly He is the reason for the season (yep, a cliche but it rings with truth).
Celebrate the fact that Someone is your ride and die….Christ was born for you and died for you! He lives so that you may also live your best life! I can’t imagine forsaking divinity and suffering for our sake. “ 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.” Phil. 2:6-8 Oh what love!
He loved you before you were conceived. He thought about you as He bled on the cross.
His birth was part of His mission to reconcile humanity’s relationship with the Father. Let that love feel your hearts this holiday season.
Let’s draw closer to Jesus. Singles and married folks alike. We should all count ourselves blessed to be loved by the Most High.
Still struggling? No worries!
Cuffing season fever can be thwarted by community service and/or acts of kindness. Help someone! Give to a family in need or who is experiencing hardship. Bake a cake for someone, or a pie. Buy a toy and bless a child. It’ll warm your heart up more than a boo-embrace. Trust me! Or don’t trust me….trust the Word. Prepare your hearts for Christmas by bringing Him your heart, enjoying His presence, and blessing those He loves. ” In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” Acts 20:35
Let’s get cozy with our Savior, and let Him warm our hearts and give us everlasting joy!
Bae, not boo can do that! #FACTS
